Hey everyone! This will just be a short post. My LJ has taken such a backseat to the real world this school year it's unreal. But now the two most time-consuming activities of mine, that is, marching band and the Madrigal Dinner, are over. (Everyone's probably stopped checking this thing. I don't blame you guys.)
The Madrigal Dinner this year was so much fun! Well, aside from the fact that we still hadn't completely run through it from beginning to end until the day before opening. o.O But hey, for the most part it ran without a hitch. And I was a Merrymaker! :P I wanted a big role so badly, and I got it. Now that that's over, I can't wait to go to Disney with our Youth Choir (St.Paul). The senior youth are all such a joy to be around. :)

We're as ready as we'll ever be and we're leaving for Houston in about 10 min.
For those of you who don't know, the Gulf Coast is going to be hit with (Category 4) Hurricane Ivan early Thursday morning. Everyone who lives South of I-10 is under a mandatory evacuation order; that includes our entire city of Ocean Springs. Of course, there are idiots who are going to "ride out the storm" anyway, but almost everyone will be gone. The last I heard, the eye was going to pass over somewhere between Pascagoula, MS, and Mobile, AL. Not good considering OS is 25-35 min. from Pascagoula and 45 min. from Mobile. That means we're going to get the strongest winds and a whole lot of rain and flooding. School will probably start back up on Monday.
Hey, at least I get to visit Ling, right? :) Everyone, be careful!

Today was Michael's 18th birthday! We all swam around in the pool and talked, etc. Then we ate, swam a bit more, and finally got out. After we were all dry we did the cake deal, Michael opened his presents (everyone gave him money), and those who hadn't already changed into dry clothes. Near the end of the afternoon we were all a little sleepy, probably a combination of swimming and just eating, so we watched a few episodes of Futurama (from DVD). We all went home around 5pm. All in all, it was a nice, pleasant party and I had a great time. I hope Michael enjoyed it. After all, you only have an 18th birthday once a lifetime.

Today I got to see an old friend who moved to Florida. She lives fairly close to Vero Beach, so her family had to evacuate. (I hope her house is ok, but she thinks it'll probably be gone when they go back.) A couple of us went bowling and then to the mall. It was so great to see her again and catch up! :) I just wish we could have spent more time hanging out...

I'm back from my dad's house. He has cable, so I got to watch a bit of happenings over in Athens. I love the Olympics! The opening ceremony was great (that's nothing new!). But the thing that really touched me was seeing North and South Korea come in together during the Parade of Nations with two people holding one flag. *tear*
I really want to go to the Summer Olympics in 2008 in Beijing! The Olympics are a big deal for me. :)

Ok, here's the required post about what classes I have and whatnot. I have to say that I'm absolutely in love with my current classes! You usually have at least one class you're counting the minutes in, ya know? But I don't have a single one this quarter (I'd say semester, but I'm thinking ahead to Advanced Algebra next quarter). ^___^
1st Semester
1st-French I with Ms.Powell
2nd-Band/Woodwinds
3rd-Psychology with Coach Ward / Advanced Algebra with Mr.Jones
4th-Physics with Mr.Hawkins
2nd Semester
1st-AP Comp with Ms.Lindley
2nd-Symphonic Band with Mr.Joe
3rd-Word Processing with Mr.Gibbs / Sociology with Coach Ward
4th-AP US History with Mr.Lundy
I'm going to see if I can change Word Processing into...almost anything else. That's what I got instead of PreCal. I'm not happy about that, but I suppose I can just try to do it over the summer at the community college or something. There's not much room for change in my schedule, so I don't think I'll be able to change it for PreCal. Oh, well. C'est la vie!
As of now, my 3rd block class in a different building each quarter. That means:

Our final band concert of the year owned! Everyone did so well. (My eyes even got a bit wet while playing Old Scottish Melody.) Now that that's over, we get to relax, right?
XD Lol. In less than two weeks we start practicing for Disney. I hope 'Manda and I are playing picc! ^__^ I'm ready for a change, as much as I love my flute.

I'm running for treasurer for S.E.A.L. Elections are on May 4th! There's only one person running besides me, so I'm not terribly worried. The only thing is that the other person is Brittany C. (spelling?), I believe, and she's potentially tough competition. We're pretty equal in all the necessary areas. >__< I can't tell who's going to win. Anyway--

One of my friends who moved to Florida two years ago (after 8th grade) visited today! I got to see her for about an hour when some of us met at Singing River. I wish we could've stayed longer. = / She says she's going to visit longer over the summer, though. I hope she does!
On a happier note, I got a book on astrology today (a bargain book at Walden's for $5.99) that is *really* funny. I'm gonna read Virgo next. :P (I've already read Cap and the water signs.)

I had Manda and Maegan over Friday for a sleepover! It was lots of fun even if we were all exhausted. Then we went to a consignment shop (which was having a sale!) and we looked around for a while. Maegan got a black bodice, Manda got a skirt and a shirt, and I got a black uniform skirt and a blue shirt. Mine only cost $4.27 total. ;_; Wow. Anyway, the skirt is going to be part of my Ravenclaw costume. Everything is so different from the first two movies! Luckily, the stuff is easier to make and find.
After that we went to see Lord of the Rings (my third viewing). The theater was full even though it's been out for over a month! It was awesome even the third time around.

It finally came! ^___^ New toy. Yay! I've been playing for about an hour and a half. I just took my flute out a minute ago cause I'm in a practicing mood, and it feels so weird! I feel like I'm learning my open hole all over again. XD Anyway, I love my new baby! I've been waiting for so long!

;_; I just finished watching the Saint Tail series....*sobs* Kawaii ne! I still liked the manga better cause it went more in depth, but man oh man...Saint Tail is absolutely awesome. Asuka Jr. and Meimi are so cute! *sigh* It was so fluffy it made me squeal, although I wish there was at least one kiss...Grrr.

Before I say anything else, I want to mention that I made a 105 on my Chemistry vocabulary test today! ^__^
Everyone and their dog has an LJ. >.> It's freaking me out. I think I've found the journals of about 25 Ocean Springs people that I know, and the number's growing. Bejeebus.
I can't wait till tomorrow! I'm going over to a friends house all day and then sleeping over. We're going to read interesting books and watch movies (one of them is Millenium Actress. Anyone seen it?). :P I'm bringing my two astrology books and my book of runes. I might also bring some burned CDs, psychology stuff, and some movies my mom rented for my little sister (she has a friend over right now). It's gonna be fun. ^^
